Like everyone who got a new Apple computer a few years ago when they first offered the built-in webcams, the first thing I did was take a bunch of photos using the Photo Booth program. While looking through featuring my long hair from days gone by, I keep thinking, “Aww, my old Hollywood studio apartment.”

Even though I’m much happier on the first floor with easy access to parking and the fact that my bedroom isn’t also in the living room and my office is also my dining room and kitchen, there will always be a special place in my heart for the first place where I lived solo.

The guy who used to dig in our dumpster every morning was just so damn friendly. Always made sure to say hi to me every time I passed by.
