On the red carpet for last night’s SAG Awards, Eva Longoria’s dress brought back some very fond childhood memories. Memories of me pining away for my younger sister’s Peaches n’ Cream Barbie doll.
That southern belle wore diamonds and a giant, frothy peach-colored debutante ball gown and dammit if I wasn’t dying to cut off her long, blond hair.
Did I say “fond” memories? I think I should have used the term “vivid” instead.

OMG!! This was my favorite Barbie as a kid but I never knew what sort of Barbie she was until now! I thought that peach dress looked familiar but I lost all the other stuff. Thanks for posting this!
I have no idea how I remembered that name. I think it’s because it used to be my favorite flavor of ice cream as well. Ha!
Glad you enjoyed the post!
LOL! *All* my barbies eventually ended up with crew cuts. At that point, I began trimming the cat’s whiskers… Have you ever seen a whisker-less cat? They bump into everything! BTW, I love your writing on socialitelife.com. Cheers!
Aww, thanks so much! And I appreciate you following me over here.
